About Animation
Animation is no longer limited to your average Saturday morning cartoon. Animations are used in advertising campaigns, movies, video games and countless other forms of media output. Animation is the term used to describe the rapid display of sequences of images, or model positions, used to create an illusion of movement. Animators write a story, create the characters and bring everything to life with animation.
Video game design is one of the more popular career paths within the field of animation. The gaming industry is growing faster than ever, and video game designers are needed to keep a steady flow of new games into the hands of the millions of people that demand them. Creative and technically savvy individuals who have a passion for video games are finding the gaming industry to be full of interesting and rewarding career opportunities.
Because gaming and other animation-related industries are fast paced, technologically advanced and artistically challenging, proper education is required for individuals to be successful in these types of fields.
